PGA Tour player Andrew Loupe was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1988. He was a golf natural from an early age, playing for the Episcopal High School golf team. Loupe was also a basketball star at high school, earning all-state honors twice.
After turning professional in 2011, Loupe spent the next couple of years on the NGA Pro Golf Tour. His first PGA Tour appearance, at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2011, saw him failing to make the cut. In 2013, having played the season on the Web.com Tour Loupe finished in joint sixth place in the end of season Web.com Tour Championship, thus earning a PGA Tour card for the 2014 season. During the season Loupe made a stuttering start, failing to make the cut in his first five starts. His best finish was joint fourth at the Valero Texas Open.
When travelling on Tour Loupe always has music with him; he has said that it helps to motivate him to play well. Away from golf, Loupe is a massive fan of college football team LSU, and of professional team New Orleans Saints.
As of the end of 2014 Loupe had played in 23 PGA Tour events. He has yet to win on the PGA Tour. He has amassed a total $563,121 in prize money.
