The Callaway Big Bertha V-Series are the definition of game improving drivers and they retail for $399. The V-Series (V stands for velocity, not victory)are the successors of the excellent FT Optiforce range and they’re packed with the latest and the greatest technologies courtesy of Callaway, which promote weight reduction, better aerodynamics and distance; long story short, say hello to Speed Enhancing Technology. The name of the game in these babies can be summed up in a few words: longer, faster, lighter drivers for providing you with increased ball speeds, which translates into better distance. How did Callaway managed to achieve that? The answer is easy as pie; they created a superior driver by improving the aerodynamics and lowering the weight using high tech stuff. Also, the V-Series feature the Hyper Speed Face, besides being feather light and aerodynamic as a Ferrari, while also offering their owner the same characteristics that made Optiforce great: longer, faster, lighter!

Wait, I think I already told you that, but I can’t help it. The V-Series from Callaway are impressive on the golf course, especially if you’re looking for a driver which offers tons of speed and distance. If you want to hit the driver farther, the Big Bertha V-Series are the ideal choice, and that’s all there is to it. Callaway themselves say that you can’t argue with physics, and that’s the basic idea behind creating the V-Series. The sound in these drivers is excellent, i.e. they provide you with a lovely crack noise, as solid as it gets and they look awesome at address too. Their design is timeless, classy and in my view these drivers are real lookers. Bottom line, the Big Bertha V-Series is an excellent combo of the past and present drivers in the company’s roundup, and they’re an excellent choice if you’re looking for playability, distance and adjustability in an affordable package.
