    Radrick Farms Golf Course Review

The golf course at Radrick Farms club just celebrated its fiftieth anniversary last year (2015) and its one of Pete Dyes first designs. Also, the Radrick Farms is among the most finest and playable golf courses in Michigan, boasting its 6967 yards of golf from the longest tees on bent grass fairways and greens. After all these years, the Radrick Farms remains a tough and solid course, a local jewel and a nice place to spend your free time playing a great round of golf. Despite being one of Dyes firsts courses, the Radrick Farms is a true gem, easy to walk, impeccably maintained and with a great staff. The course is tough and extremely challenging, but its always fair, with the bunkers strategically designed in order to protect most of the greens. The scenery is epic, with woods and undulating greens surrounding the vast majority of fairways and many of the holes are excellent, the best ones being the 15 par 3, the 18 par 4 and 12 par 5.

Pete Dye developed the golf course on a beautiful piece of property in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the courses initial purpose was to serve for the faculty of the University of Michigan, though others can join (alumni etc). Also, the Radrick Farms job was Pete Dyes first 18 hole course, but its signature is evident everywhere from day one. The golf course is always kept in perfect condition and most of the members choose to walk it, as everything is built and designed for a no frills, just great classic golfing experience with a fast pace of play. The Radrick Farmss inception dates back to 1965, but Pete Dye and his wife Alice returned to the scene of the crime in the late 1980s and they improved some of the holes, in order to hold a few more approach shots. Bottom line, the Radrick Farms is what a golf course should be like in this writers opinion, i.e. no adjacent housing, all trees and turf and everything focused on the purest golfing experience possible.
