    Chicago Golf Club Course Review

The ChicagoGolf Club is a true legend, being a privately owned and operated golf club, located in Wheaton Illinois. Thing is, the ChicagoGolf Club is the oldest eighteen hole golf course in the US and one of the 5 initial golf clubs which had founded the US Golf Association, way back in 1894. As far as golf clubs go, the ChicagoGolf Club can be regarded as a founding father of the sport, nothing short of that folks. The clubs founder was Charles B. Macdonald, the same golf player who won the first edition of the US Amateur Championship one year later after the club was erected, in 1895. As you can see, the ChicagoGolf Club is everything about history and tradition and since its inception, this place hosted lots of championships for both amateurs and professionals alike. Truth be told, this club was already old fashioned when it started more than one century ago, but to its members, old fashioned is their defining characteristic. One can only hope the ChicagoGolf Club will stay like that forever, being a true Midwest gem, which hosted the most USGA events in its early years.

The ChicagoGolf Club was the first golf course to feature central irrigation, for watering its tees and greens, thus keeping them in tip-top shape. The holes are very good and some of them outstanding, but what puts the cherry on top is the 4 par 3s. Even if its old fashioned, the ChicagoGolf Club never looked better than today, representing the essence of golf, having those kinds of members who can talk the talk and walk the walk in the same time. And as per metrics, the ChicagoGolf Club has 6710 yards of golf from its longest tees for a 70 par and it was designed by architects Seth Raynor and the aforementioned C.B. Macdonald. Both motorized carts and caddies are available, together with on-site accommodations. If you want to taste a slice of USGA history and play an awesome round of golf in a place imbibed with tradition, theres no other place than the ChicagoGolf Club.
